Introducing the Deputi Sounds DP-09 Kontakt instrument! This instrument was created by sampling a vintage 909 in the highest quality possible. The DP09 gives you freedom to use one of the most legendary drum machines in music history in your DAW!

If you’re skeptical about randomization, we totally get it! Unlike other randomization features haphazardly added to music gear in times past, we programed DISRUPT™ to stay within a musically contextual and useful range- (no more unusable and non-musical results!) With Disrupt™, your sound sources, pitches, envelopes, FX sends, FX presets & parameters all morph into a new soundscape... yielding sound design discoveries that would have historically taken hours to create! As always, your pattern, volume level settings, and master controls will stay where you set them, ensuring you never lose the groove!

Sequencer

The DP09 has a 32 step sequencer that allows you to input note, velocity and pitch information per step. The sequencer defaults at 16 steps but can be switched to 32. It also includes controls for latch, clear, number of bars, grid type as well as copy & paste functions.

Parameters

The master section allows for parameter changes of the sound selection, level, tuning and envelope for each drum sound. All of these parameters can be controlled by host automation, or disrupt buttons.

FX Section

The extensive effects section has over 60 high quality reverb impulse responses as well as 5 delay modeling engines. Each drum sound has it's own reverb and delay send knob.

Each parameter section has the ability to be disrupted as well as a global Disrupt that will trigger all of the sections simultaneously. Extensive Key Switches:

• Disrupt All - Disrupts all the parameters with disrupt icons

• Disrupt Tune - Disrupts all the tuning parameters

Disrupt Decay - disrupts all the decay parameters

Sound Key Triggers - Use the built in sequencer or midi key trigger each sound individually to utilize your DAW sequencer.

• Sequence Pattern Triggers: There are 16 pattern preset slots in the DP08. The patterns are triggered by holding down the note either on Kontakt’s virtual keyboard or a MIDI controller.

• Drum Kit Selector Triggers: There are 5 distinct drum kits in the

DP09 that can be recalled by pressing the corresponding blue MIDI notes.

• Global Filter Triggers: Activate the Global Hipass and Lowpass

Filters at 50% while the note is being pressed.

909

Undoubtedly THE standard for House and Techno beats, the 909 was released in 1983 as the successor to the 808! This machine was most notable for its punchy, aggressive sound, which differed from the more rounded and bass-heavy sound of the 808. The 909 combined analog drum synthesis with sample-based playback to produce its sounds, positions it as one of the first hybrid analog/digital drum machines produced-- (it was also one of the first drum machines to feature MIDI.) Like its 808 predecessor, it offered user programmability, which was key to its appeal for music producers. The sharp, snappy snare and claps, along with its distinctive cymbal and hi-hat sounds, made the 909 a staple in genres like techno, house, and acid. In terms of legacy, the 909's influence rivals the 808, and both are rightfully recognized for their contribution to the development of modern electronic music. They've become some of the most iconic and influential machines in the history of music production.
